Mr Shalom Srirangam manages all aspects of common men’s and women’s urological conditions including urinary problems, incontinence, urinary tract infections, prostate and bladder conditions, blood in the urine, kidney stones, problems affecting the penis and scrotum, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and circumcision procedures.

 

Academic background

Mr Shalom Srirangam qualified at the University of Manchester in 1997 (MBChB). He completed his basic surgical training in the North West of England (MRCS in 2001). Following a period of urological research, he undertook his specialist urology training in the North West of England (Manchester) rotation from 2003 to 2008.

He also completed a European School of Urology Fellowship in Endourology/Stone disease at the University Hospital Leuven, Belgium in 2008. 

He has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust since January 2009.

Mr Srirangam is currently the research lead on a number of studies, especially in the field of kidney stones and their treatment.
