Your stay at Oaklands Hospital
Coming into hospital can be a worrying time, so by making your stay comfortable we hope to help you relax as much as possible. Before or after your stay we are just at the end of the phone to answer any queries you might have.
We have a range of accommodation including en-suite bedrooms and dedicated daycase areas depending on your procedure and how long you are staying with us.
Infection prevention and control
Oaklands Hospital have strict nursing and cleaning procedures which reduce the risk of infection to very low levels. We would advise you to have a shower or bath with soap on the evening before or on the day of your surgery to further reduce the risk of a wound infection.
Depending on how long you are with us, you will be offered refreshments and meals appropriate to your procedure. All meals are cooked fresh on site.
There is free hospital car parking including disabled parking bays close to the hospital.
Your needs in this area are best arranged with family and friends as the hospital has no facilities to cater for this.
Smoking is not permitted within the hospital or the hospital grounds.
Our visiting hours are:
1pm-8pm for insured and self funding patients
2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm for NHS patients
We do ask that you be considerate to others in the hospital. Lots of noise and many people can be very distressing to some patients. Please respect their need for rest and privacy. Children are very welcome but they must be supervised by an adult at all times.
